Excitement of the Second Year in the Garden Produced by Women's Labor

Established by Erciş Municipality to support women's participation in production, strengthen solidarity, and ensure that women play a more active role in agricultural production, the *Women's Urban Garden* in Çelebibağı Neighborhood is preparing for production once again in its second year with the labor of women.

Last year, the Women's Urban Garden attracted great interest and production was carried out with the intense participation of women. This year, the planting activities were also carried out by women. Our Co-Mayor Güler Temel, along with the participation of Women Council Members, initiated the new production season by planting tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, cucumbers, melons, and watermelons that they brought together with the soil.

The Women's Urban Garden, shaped by women's labor, continues to be a symbol of solidarity, sharing, and the empowerment of women together, beyond just being a production area. Women who work together on the land actively participate in every stage of production, contributing to agricultural production while also enhancing the power of producing and standing in solidarity together.

Our Co-Mayor Güler Temel emphasized the importance of women having a greater role in production, stating that supporting women's labor also strengthens social life. Temel expressed that they will continue to implement projects that will enable women to reach a stronger position in economic and social life.

As Erciş Municipality, we will continue to carry out projects where women have a say in production, their labor is made visible, and solidarity is strengthened. The Women's Urban Garden is also preparing for a fruitful production period, flourishing once again with the joint labor of women in its second year.
