Erciş Municipality Signs 'Attitude Document Against Violence'
Erciş Municipality signed the 'Attitude Document Against Violence' to prevent all forms of violence, harassment, and mobbing. The signing ceremony held at the municipal service building was attended by our Co-Mayor Güler Temel, municipal council members, and female municipal staff.
With the signed document, Erciş Municipality declares its institutional approach against violence and commits to taking all necessary steps for a work life free from violence and harassment. The Attitude Document Against Violence was prepared in accordance with the ILO 190 Policy Document on Preventing Violence and Harassment in the World of Work within the framework of national legislation. With this document, Erciş Municipality announces how it will act against all forms of violence, harassment, and mobbing, including every unit it serves, and that it will never compromise.
The purpose of the attitude document:
To outline Erciş Municipality's institutional policy against violence, harassment, and mobbing, to establish principles by rejecting all forms of violence, harassment, and mobbing without any justification, to prevent and subsequently monitor all forms of violence, harassment, and mobbing that may occur within the institutional structure of Erciş Municipality, to create a safe environment for all personnel and service areas, including civil servants, workers, and contracted personnel, and to ensure awareness of rights and responsibilities within these areas, to create a safe environment in the family and social life of all personnel working at every level of Erciş Municipality, including civil servants, workers, and contracted personnel, and to ensure awareness of rights and responsibilities within these areas, to define the responsibilities of the Municipality during and after the reporting process of violence, harassment, and mobbing situations. To provide a protective, preventive, and restorative tool to prevent and avoid the recurrence of violence, harassment, and mobbing, to outline the paths and methods to be followed in accordance with the stated principles and to prepare a practical, clear, and updatable guideline to define the scope of violence, harassment, and mobbing. To ensure that the prepared guideline serves as a basis for all work and processes related to working life, including collective bargaining.
