Women's Policies Growing Neighborhood by Neighborhood: Meeting with Women in Salihiye Neighborhood

Erciş Municipality Women's and Family Services Directorate continues neighborhood meetings to ensure stronger participation of women in local governance processes. In this context, women were brought together in Salihiye Neighborhood to directly listen to needs, requests, and suggestions.

During the meeting, topics directly affecting women's lives were discussed, including economic empowerment, education, social support, and combating violence. Evaluations were made on possible activities based on the opinions of women living in the neighborhood.

“A local government that produces decisions together with women, not just listens to their voices” is the understanding under which the studies are conducted, aiming to strengthen women's participation in decision-making processes and shape the services offered according to the real needs of the neighborhoods.
